Hello fellow geocachers. K9K8 inviting you to attend my fourth annual “Cachey Hour” party at my folks property. This year not only do you get credit for attending, I’m honored to have been selected for a Community Celebration Event, so this year you can earn a souvenir too!
Please come enjoy (what we consider to be) the best view in Bucks County and our park-like property. The property is perched 300ft above River Road (route 32) and the Delaware River with a direct vista to the “Devils Tea Table” in New Jersey. If you have attended my past gatherings, please come again. If you weren’t part of the prior parties, please plan to join us this year! You are welcome to bring your group members, family members, best friends or geoBFFs. Check out the logs and pictures from last year by going to: GCAMQHC
Red Tail Hawks and Bald Eagles are frequently seen on site. Many other songbirds as well: Gold Finches, Blue Birds, Cardinals, Tanagers, Orioles, et al. Deer, rabbits, chipmunks, turkeys, groundhogs and fox are prevalent as well. (Coyote are here too, but you’ll never see ‘em.) Bring binoculars, photographers bring your cameras, painters bring you’re your painting kits. If you enjoy pond fishing, bring your gear – worms recommended. Catch and release: largemouth bass, catfish and blue gills/sunnies.
Parking is available on site. Your ultimate destination is all the way at the house, past the pond & barn. Park on either side of the driveway as available the day of the event. (The driveway is long and does make a circle.) Bathroom facilities will be available. In case of rain, space is available for getting out of the elements. Beverages along with some basic munchies will be provided. I’d encourage you to bring something you care to share with your fellow attending geocachers. Bring your own lawn chairs because seating will be limited.
Sorry, no geoDogs – I already have enough geo-canines here. I’m also concerned about any escapee dogs that might head toward our overlook, that terrain could easily be classified as 5.0 and is off limits to humans and canines!
This is a private property, please respect it as your own. Practice CITO while visiting. Take only pictures, leave only footprints. Photos of the no-credit caches hidden on site are welcome! Always keep your guard up when geocaching or when socializing with animals of any kind.
