Old Somner Fields Traditional Cache

This little green patch between houses was formerly farmers fields and believed to be connected to the Somners who owned a local coach works. Have a wander to the old station house just up the road on the industrial estate (it's now a music school). Luckily this green patch was kept when the estate was built and the little path running through it is a pleasant alternative walk way to the new hospital and railway path. There are also lovely views to the lammermuirs on a clear day. Watch for bats on a summers night!
