Mossburn RSA Scarlet Oak Memorial Planting
In 2014, to mark the centennial of the beginning of World War I, 23 Scarlet Oak trees were planted by the Mossburn Community.

These trees are a living memorial to the local men who lost their lives on foreign soil.
13 in World War I and 10 in World War II.

Along the fence you will see 23 plaques with the names of these soldiers and you will use these to discover the coordinates for where the cache is hidden.

A = The last digit of the service number for Joseph Lionel Graham 
B = The number in the ones column for the age of Frank Christie when he died 
C = The first number of the service number for Robert Ian Marshall
D = Who was the oldest at time of death? Add together the two digits of his age and take off 2 
E = Add the first four digits of the service number for Thomas Albert Carston. If the answer is a two digit number, add those together to get one number

F = The fifth digit in the service number for Edward Peter Healy
G = Count up the number of men with the first name of James 
H =  The month that Arthur John Bryan died
I = Arthur Cook's age when he died divided by 6 = 30/6
J = the date (day) that Albert Fredrick Campbell Dore died

Check sum = A+B+C+D+E+F+G+H+I+J = 31
