This cache is an homage to Castle Rock by RocketMan. It was hidden on 08/26/2006, and archived on 08/03/2024. It was active for almost 18 years! Why so special? Because this was the very first geocache that I found, and I found it by accident while hiking the Castle Rock. Full story HERE.
The cache went missing, and RocketMan asked if I would like to adopt it or take over this location. We decided to archive the original, and make this homage cache. Coincidentally, this published on my 14th cacheversary! I found the original cache on August 4, 2010, and this cache went live on August 4, 2024. What a great anniversary being able to post this cache where my addiction started. This location is very special. I kept the hide the same, so it shouldn't be too difficult if you did the original.
