Geocache Description:

Did you know that?

The radiation from the Chernobyl accident has resulted in the changing of the skin coloration of the Eastern tree frog (Hyla orientalis) in Ukraine, turning from green to black. The species typically has a bright green dorsal color, but several unusually black-tinted Eastern tree frogs were discovered close to the damaged nuclear plant. The black frogs are believed to be an evolved version of the bright green frogs in the area.
