THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES!!!
We created our Geocaching account on July 30th, 2014. On July 30th, 2024, we celebrated our 10 year caching anniversary at GCAR19C.
10 years ago today we created our families' Geocaching account. We found several Geocaches before we logged our first find, but 199 days later on February 14th, 2015, we logged our first Geocache "Hot Wheels trade out" (GC4GZKK). This was our true first find, even though it was logged more than 6 months later.
We've been stung by hornets while looking for caches in Fort Stevens State Park (OR), gotten wet socks and shoes and nearly froze from cold after stomping across a bog to find "Soggy Bog" (GC4V7MH), gotten stuck in the mud on a rural Idaho farm road trying to reach "Are We There Yet?" (GC279MQ) (we never did reach it, but $300 later we got pulled out) among many other adventures. We completed the Trifecta on July 26th, 2019 when we visited the "Original Cache Tribute Plaque" (GCGV0P).
