Welcome all to the NYGO picnic, it will be a pot luck style event at the large pavilion by the parking lot. It was in this very location that the original NYGO was first proposed way back in 2002. It was also the first event I ever attended. Below is an excerpt from the original description by DeKaner and J-Ra.
" On August third, a picnic will be held in Clark Reservation State Park at the large pavilion in honor of Geocacher's everywhere! The event is a 'pot-luck' style picnic, where we ask that everyone bring a dish to pass. We will bring supplies for the grills.In conjunction with this picnic, I am trying to get an open discussion started in regards to setting up a New York State Geocaching Organization. If interested, please come a little early. "
NYGO was born the following year and lasted until 2008. Last year I started it up again, so let's all celebrate. There is a parking fee for those who do not have a park pass. I hope that will not deter anyone from attending. Pleae list what food or drink you are bringing to the event so we don't get too much of the same things. NYGO will supply condiments, plates and utensils.
