Yep, I know that crossing over to Amherst Island on the ferry can be a pain, but the island has so much more to explore and enjoy, especially surrounded by the waters of Lake Ontario, the 12th largest freshwater lake in the world! The cache is placed in Centennial Park, a small, beautifully kept municipal park in the east end of Stella., The park was created in 1967 to celebrate the centennial of Canadian Confederation in 1867.
Cache is a camoed prefab tube. Amherst Island is currently host to over 40 caches, plus an Adventure Lab or two :)
Ferry runs hourly, leaving Millhaven on the Half-hour.
No Timmie's here, so pick up your double double ahead of time!
Have fun, eh?
