Bankview is one of Calgary's oldest communities and was purchased in the 1900s by the City. Originally, in 1882, half the section of land in Bankview was owned by William Nimmons who used the land to farm and ranch.
Bankview Community Association was provincially registered in 1954. The Community Association offers a number of recreational opportunities to Bankview residents. Did you know that the Community Association runs a weekly "Spins Around Food" program? On Thursdays from 1-3pm you can access this food recovery program that repurposes food such as fresh produce, bread and dry goods that is picked up from local merchants and other donors. This program is provided to community members in need. This is a lovely reminder how our communities can give back.

This is a busier area, so please be mindful of muggles! Tweezers recommended.
