An outcrop of stone that towers above Penns Creek overlooking the tiny hamlet of Weikert, Chimney Rock sits at the end of two-mile hike past a beautiful babbling brook and short incline. It’s one of the best viewpoints of the creek.
To visit Chimney Rock, start the White Mountain Ridge Trail below at the entry gate off Weikert Run Road. The well-marked trail will direct you to Chimney Rock to drink in a magnificent view of Penns Creek. Continue following the trail for a longer hike, or head back down the incline.
