Geocache Description:

New York was the eleventh state to ratify the US Constitution on July 26, 1788.
Fun Fact - More than 800 languages are found in the New York City, it was also the home to the capital of the United States.  The Erie Canal was opened in 1820.  Apples were not native to the state, but were brought in the 1600s.

This cache is located near a beautiful fountain in the newer western portion of the neighborhood.  It’s nice to stop and get out of car to see this up close and personal.

There are 50 states in the United States and there are plenty of options for hides in the West Katy/ Fulshear area. We can’t promise that all 50 states will be represented, but we will try our best.

These caches are placed in the order that states ratified the constitution or were admitted into the United States.  We will start with the thirteen original colonies that ratified the Constitution first, then move onto other states as they entered the Union.
