27th September - Tree Care is the Appleton Way
The session is set for 3 hours, but only me and the ranger have to stay till the end!
Please do feel free to pop along and only stay for as long as you want.
Parking: There is some street parking on Appleton Way (parking coords) or you can park in Laxton Road and walk through Green Lane Nature Reserve on to the balancing pond.
Where: We will meet in the balancing pond (published co-ordinates), access to the reserve is via a gate from Appleton Way or through Green Lane Nature Reserve
What: Join us caring for the saplings, that aren't that small anymore!
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. We ask you to bring your own gloves and if you have a hammer, loppers and shears that would be amazing. No worries though as the ranger will have a supply.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please do bring a drink as it can be thirsty work!
