A message from Captain GeoBlackstorm,
Ahoy, ye landlubbers and sea dogs alike! Gather ‘round fer a tale o’ adventure and treasure in the N icy shores o’ Anchorage! It's been a good year since our last jolly rendezvous, yet it feels like the blink of a one good eye since we last hoisted 61 tankards of grog and spun 8 yarns together. Some might say time be as swift as a 465 topsail breeze, provided ye still have both eyes to witness it. But reckon ye, me mateys, 'tis that time again.
On the horizon to the W, mark yer calendars fer the grand event o’ the year! September nineteenth be the day to don yer best pirate garb and set sail fer the annual Geocaching Extravaganza. Aye, that’s right! We be celebratin' the 149 Talk Like a Pirate Day with a treasure hunt that’ll shiver yer timbers!
At the stroke o' six bells, as the sun dips low in the Alaskan sky at about the 57 degree parallel, ye’ll be joinin’ a crew o’ hearty adventurers fer a quest like no other. With maps in hand and compasses at the ready, we’ll scour the land o' Anchorage fer hidden caches, each one holdin’ clues to untold riches—or at least some grand pirate loot!
Prepare yerselves fer riddles and challenges to find the hidden treasure that'll test the mettle of even the saltiest sea dogs. Ye best be bringin’ yer wits, a keen eye, and a spirit as wild as the seven seas. And remember, all ye scallywags must speak in yer finest pirate tongue.
So, set yer course fer Anchorage on September nineteenth at six pm sharp. This be a night o’ treasure and merriment ye won’t want to miss. Sharpen yer cutlasses, polish yer 668 doubloons, and join us fer a swashbucklin’ good time!
Arrr, see ye there, if ye dare!
