🇭🇷:Brački kamen, poznat i kao Brački mramor, je vrsta vapnenca koji se eksploatira na otoku Braču u Hrvatskoj. Sastav Bračkog kamena uključuje većinom kalcijev karbonat (oko 95%), što ga čini vrlo čvrstim i pogodnim za klesanje. Osim kalcijevog karbonata, moguće su prisutnosti drugih minerala ili nečistoća koje mogu utjecati na boju i teksturu kamena. 2 najčešće vrste vapnenca koje se mogu naći u bračkom kamenu su čisti i kemijski vapnenac.
Čisti vapnenac, sastavljen uglavnom od kalcijevog karbonata, obično je bijele ili svijetlo krem boje, dok kemijski vapnenac može imati različite boje poput sivkaste, crvene ,žućkaste ili smeđe, ovisno o vrsti nečistoća koje sadrži. Što se tiče teksture, čisti vapnenac obično ima finu, kompaktnu teksturu, dok kemijski vapnenac najčešće ima nepravilniju i vrlo grubu teksturu zbog prisutnosti dodatnih tvari.
