#7 - A dead magpie

You are advised to read the introduction for cache #1 before attempting this cache, especially with regard to the path between #3 and #7.

Optimist on the run started caching due to a dead magpie, which was spotted in May 2012 by one of his friends who lives in Wales. In her words, "I was walking along the Teifi, some way below the bridge, and saw the magpie lying on a little shingle beach by the water. I was looking at it, wondering whether it had been killed or died naturally, when I spotted the funny little container lying beside it. It turned out to be a film-pot taped to a large metal hook. The logsheet inside mentioned www.geocaching.com; I had never heard of caching, but the website was self-explanatory and I was able to contact the CO and restore the cache ... to its rightful hide by the bridge. Later I became CO for its continuation/successor."

She told one of her friends, who started also geocaching and later passed on the secret to OOTR, by leading him to a section of Armco barrier and telling him to "put your arm in there, and see what you can find." OOTR did so and found his first cache.
