Par Puzes baznīcas vēsturi: Puzes baznīca ceļu krustojumā uzcelta jau 1630. gada, tajā laikā tā bijusi koka ēka. Mūra baznīca celta no 1690. līdz 1692. gadam Puzes muižas īpašnieka Emeriha fon Mirbaha laikā. Virs ieejas baznīcā atrodas 4 Mirbahu dzimtas ģerboņi, kuri reprezentē dzimtu ieguldījumu, ziedojot naudu baznīcas celtniecībai. Tāpat redzams arī Aivara Lemberga ģerbonis, jo viņš ieguldījis līdzekļus baznīcas restaurācijai. Baznīcu 1692. gadā iesvēta mācītājs Johanss Gampers. 1804. gadā zibens spēriens baznīcā izraisa ugunsgrēku. To atjauno, tomēr ar īsāku torņā garumu, nekā sākotnēji. Šajā ugunsgrēkā gāja bojā pirmā altāra glezna, savukārt šībrīža altārā ir Puzenieku muižas īpašnieka fon Grotusa dāvinātā gleznas kopija „Kristus noņemšana no krusta”.
Abos Pasaules karos baznīca nav cietusi, bet Padomju laikā no 1977. līdz 1987. gadam, tā tika izzagta un izdemolēta. 1988. gadā baznīcā ar kolhoza „Blāzma” finansiālu atbalstu tika veikts remonts un 1989. gadā draudze atsāka savu kalpošanu.

Cache is small size plastic box which contains logbook and pencil, as well as plenty of space for trackables and other excangable items. After logging the cache, please make sure to close it properly and hide it in the same way as you found it!
About the cache: This geocache holds not only the value of an object of interest, but also a sentimental value for the author (Karlys). Previously the cache GC1V7K2 was hidden here, which was the second cache found by the author (found in 2010). Later at the exact spot cache GC4GFY3 was hidden, which is essentially a direct predecessor to the current cache and its format. Geocacher kazarms is the original author of the design of the cache.
About the history of the Puze church: Originally the church of Puze was built in 1630 as a wooden building in the crossroads. But stone building, as it is today, was built between 1690 and 1692 during the time of the owner of the Puze manor, Emmerich von Mirbach. Above the entrance of the church there are 4 coats of arms of the Mirbach family, which represent the family's contribution by donating money for the construction of the church. The coat of arms of Aivars Lembergs is also visible, because he invested funds for the restoration of the church. The church was consecrated in 1692 by pastor Johannes Gampers. In year 1804 after the lightning stroke the church fire broke out in church. When the it was being restored the church tower was built shorter in height than it was originally. The first altar painting was destroyed in this fire, the current altar contains a copy of the painting "Removal of Christ from the Cross" donated by the owner of the Puzenieku Manor, von Grotus.
The church was not damaged in both World Wars, but during the Soviet period from 1977 to 1987, it was vandalized and robbed. From 1988 to 1989, the church was repaired with the financial support of the kolkhoz "Blāzma", and in 1989 the congregation resumed its service.
