There are to date (Oct '24) 28 caches forming the Logan and Albert Rivers Kayak Series (LARKS) in Geo art format - HOOK, LINE and SINKER.
- There are TEN caches along the Waterford/Bethania reach of the Logan River Waterford - "HOOK"
- There are TEN caches along the Eagleby reach of the Logan River - "SINKER"
- There are EIGHT caches along the Eagleby reach of the Albert River - "LINE"
This cache is No 3 of the HOOK series.
It is recommended to paddle to these caches on a High Tide. Launch points are the Waterford Boat Ramp or the Federation Drive Boat ramp. There are a couple of caches beyond Federation Drive which could involve a little paddle against the turning tide.
The return trip is around 6.4 km. If more than one GeoVehicle is available, you might consider leaving one GV at one launch point and then launching your paddle from the other, the direction depending upon the tide times.
