There are to date (Oct '24) 28 caches forming the Logan and Albert Rivers Kayak Series (LARKS) in Geo art format - HOOK, LINE and SINKER.
- There are TEN caches along the Waterford/Bethania reach of the Logan River Waterford - "HOOK"
- There are TEN caches along the Eagleby reach of the Logan River - "SINKER"
- There are EIGHT caches along the Eagleby reach of the Albert River - "LINE"

This cache is No 6 of the LINE series.

It is recommended to paddle to these caches on a High Tide. Launch point is at the Ramu Street Boat Ramp, Eagleby. Paddling will be in BOTH directions on the Albert River, so you'll need around 1.5 hours each side of the high tide, as you will be returning back to the Ramu Street Ramp to conclude. The return journey is some 5.2 km.
The caches in this series (LINE Geo art) have a difficulty rating up to D5.
Clue A for finding this D4.5 cache:
- CONTRA CHEVERELS (CC for Nano logs) went up North – the exact opposite of where the published coordinates are. But our never lost cacher, just had to keep caching.
- So our Cacher who is never lost, set sail and travelled 3684.9746 k at 287.37501709963 degrees
- Which country is CC to be found in?
Clue B:
ECTOTHERM is anchored in Brazil near a small coastal town of Pontinhas, sipping on a caipirinha (S7 32.768 W34 50.014)
RECHACAPUL is located near N’zeto on the coast of Angola enjoying mufete for dinner (S7 12.796 E12 51.208)
ERICACHANGE is watching intently the TV Doco series on the current self-destruction of the great USA from her yacht anchored off Fleeton Point in Virginia (USA) (N37 48.716 W76 17.291) and
ARCECHOGRAM is basking in the sun at Jamestown Saint Helina (S15 55.417 W5 43.156)
Their fifth imaginary geocaching buddy, CHECHARADE is somewhere common to all four of them. Where is CHECHARADE?
Clue C:
Three geocachers who were never lost for words (we all have geo buddies like that!) were arguing one day about which cache was the best hey had been to. Two of them had been arguing the position that location, location, location determined whether a geocache was considered good or not. But the third member was soon weighing in on the argument that the first geocache ever placed had nothing at all to do with location. “Placed nowhere special it was.”
“Ooh!’ said one other. “Yoda syntax I do detect!”
“OK, OK! – on topic, please!” was the response from the other. “Look at all my photos of views and scenery I have taken at caches I have found.”
“But look at all the Favorite Points awarded for clever caches, or well-constructed caches, or caches that tell a great story.” Came the retort: “Point illustrated!”
"Well, not quite. There's also the argument that the journey TO the cache is what makes i interesting. A quick Park 'n Grab can't beat a great bike ride, or a mountain hike!"
"How about I put a geocache in THIS country?
Are these offsets bogus? -164, 85 ?
The argument went unresolved.
From your three clues, you now have three country locations. Manipulate the published coordinates using these clues (Toolbox is your friend!). Three results need to be averaged, then use the hidden offsets. Confirm your answer in the checker.
