Der Morteratschgletscher ist der größte Gletscher des Berninamassivs in der Schweiz und zählt zum Taltyp. Das Akkumulationsgebiet liegt zwischen den Gipfeln Piz Morteratsch, Pizzo Bernina, Crast' Agüzza, Piz Argient, Piz Zupò und Pizzo Bellavista.
Die Länge des Gletschers beträgt etwa sieben Kilometer und während seiner Reise fällt er etwa 2000 Meter ab. Während seiner Reise wird er vom Pers-Gletscher gespeist. Das vom Gletscher kommende Wasser fließt in die Ova da Bernina, die wiederum einen Nebenfluss in den Inn darstellt.

The Morteratsch glacier is the largest glacier in the Bernina massif in Switzerland and is of the valley type. The accumulation area is located between the peaks of Piz Morteratsch, Pizzo Bernina, Crast' Agüzza, Piz Argient, Piz Zupò and Pizzo Bellavista.
The length of the glacier is approximately seven kilometers and during its journey it drops approximately 2000 meters. During its journey it is fed by the Pers Glacier. The water coming from the glacier flows into the Ova da Bernina which in turn is a tributary into the Inn.

Il ghiacciaio del Morteratsch è il più grande ghiacciaio del massiccio del Bernina in Svizzera ed è di tipo vallivo. La zona di accumulo si trova tra le vette del Piz Morteratsch, Pizzo Bernina, Crast' Agüzza, Piz Argient, Piz Zupò e Pizzo Bellavista.
La lunghezza del ghiacciaio è di circa sette chilometri e durante il suo tragitto scende di circa 2000 metri. Durante il suo tragitto viene alimentato dal Ghiacciaio del Pers. L'acqua che proviene dal ghiacciaio confluisce nell'Ova da Bernina che a sua volta è un affluente nell'Inn.
