Tämä helppo letteri on tarkoitettu eritoten lapsille, joten on suotava, että mukana olisi ainakin yksi lapsi. Niin, ihan aito ihmislapsi! Jos ei löydy omia, ota naapurilta lainaksi. (Saa tietysti lokata ilmankin mutta eihän se ole yhtä hauska.)
Aloituspiste on ylikulkusillan keskellä. Älä jää sinne seisomaan, koska sillalla liikennöi myös autoja. Sensijaan liiku 17 metria (eli noin 75 kengänpituutta jos kenkäkokosi sattuu olemaan 36) suoraan etelään. Nyt pääset näkemään Haminaan päin ajavia rekkoja.
Kun rekka lähestyy, tee tööttiliikettä. Kas näin, kädellä voimakkaasti ylös-alas:

Tiesitkö, että Euroopan pisimmät rekat ajavat Suomessa? Täällä nimittäin saa ilman erikoislupaa ajaa jopa 34,5-metrinen rekka. Melkein kaikissa muissa Euroopan maissa sallittu maksimi on 18,75 metriä eli liki puolet vähemmän.
Nyt varmista, että on turvallista ylittää silta. Mene suoraan toisen kaiteen luo, sitten kävele 28 metriä (eli noin 60 alakoululaisen askelta) suoraan pohjoiseen. Katso Haminasta tulevia rekkoja.

Montako erilaista rekkaa jaksat laskea? Kaappiauto, tukkiauto, säiliöauto, konttiauto, roska-auto, betoniauto.... onpas niitä loputtoman paljon! Mitä ne kaikki kuljettavat?
Kaikki tavara, jota näemme ympärillämme, on jossain vaiheessa liikkunut kuorma-auton kyydissä. Kuvittele: minkälaista olisi elämä, jos rekkoja ei olisi?
Kiva jos otat kuvan rekasta tai rekkabongailusta ja lisäät sen lokiin. (Tämä ei ole pakollista, lokata saa ilman kuvaakin.)
Nyt mene taas tien yli – varoen! – ja siirry 30 metriä pohjoiseen. Askelet saat itse laskea. Sitten käänny 90 astetta vasemmalle, laskeudu pengertä alaspäin seitsemän metriä ja sitten luikertele vielä metri oksien alle.
Kätköstä löytyy kaikenlaista, saa ottaa tai jättää. Älä vaan vie leimasinta, se kuuluu kätköön.

The starting point is at the center of an overpass. Do not stand there, as the bridge can have some motor traffic. Instead, walk 17 metres (or about 75 shoe lengths if your shoe size happens to be 36) straight to the South. Now you can see oncoming trucks going to Hamina.
As a truck approaches, make the honk move. Like this, vigorously moving your hand up and down:
Now the driver will blow the horn, maybe flash the headlights or even switch the blinkers on!

Did you know that Finland's road trains are Europe's longest? Here, a truck combo as long as 34,5 metres may run without a special permit. In almost all other countries of Europe the maximum allowance is 18,75 metres, which is barely more than half of the Finnish regulation.
Now, make sure that it is safe to cross the bridge. Go straight to the opposite railing, then walk 28 metres (or about 60 elementary-schooler's steps) straight to the North. Watch the trucks coming from Hamina.

How many different trucks can you count? A box truck, a flatbed, a log truck, a tank truck, a container truck, a garbage truck, a concrete truck... there are endless! What all do they carry?
All the man-made stuff that we see around us has at some stage been moved around in a truck. Imagine: what would life be like if there were no trucks?
Great if you take a picture of a truck or truckspotting and add it to your log. (This is not a must, you can log without a picture.)
Now cross the road again – carefully! – and walk 30 metres to the North. You can count your own steps. Then take a 90 degree turn left and climb downhill seven metres. Now crawl another metre under the branches.
