A new year is upon us, and what better way to start the year than with a gathering of friends!
This event is from 10:00 am until 6:30 pm in the North Olmsted Masonic Lodge. There is ample parking for everyone.
Goals! Goals! Goals!
Every time a new year is upon us people tend to start that year with some sort of goal they would like to achieve in the coming year.
Lets put a geocaching twist on it, shall we!
At this event, you are welcome to participate in the 2025 Geocaching Goal Challenge. If you choose to participate you will be assigned 4 goals. Which you will have all of 2025 to complete.
Each goal will be a randomly chosen criteria from the follow categories.
- Attributes
- Cache Type or Size
- Difficulty / Terrain
- Year Placed, Day of Week, or Day of Month
The event will start at 10:00 am and will go until 6:30 pm. Hopefully this will allow people ample time to get here for the festivities.
This year I will be bringing back, by popular demand, the "Lottery of Goals!" (Something I am quite proud of)
Remember there is no requirement of participation in the goals in order to attend this event. You are welcome to come and see what all the talk is about and hang out with your geocaching friends. This event is open to everyone!
So, come on out and start your year off right, by hanging with your caching friends. Get assigned a couple of goals and maybe, just maybe earn yourself a fancy new geocoin.
*This year we have the "Lottery Of Goals". After we have pulled your goals. We will record them by filling out your "Goal Card" and be recording them in the "Have you met your 2025 Goals" spreadsheet which can be accessed in the NEO GEO Facebook group. This spread sheet will be available to everyone in the group. Allowing you to refer to it and even find other cachers who might have the same goal as you, giving you the chance to go and cache with someone totally new.
At the event there will be some food and snacks provided. If you would like to bring a side dish or a snack to share that would be fantastic.
