How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This is a Challenge cache. The cache is hidden at the posted co-ordinates. To find the cache just go there. You may sign the log book at any time, but in order to claim the smiley, you must complete the "Whitehorse LGA Challenge.". An LGA challenge, is for those that like to visit new places. This is one requires you to find 100 Physical caches in the Whitehorse LGA.

There is no time limit, caches can be found BEFORE or AFTER this challenge was published.

Conditions:

1. You must find 100 caches in the Whitehorse LGA on geocaching.com

2. Only Physical cache type caches are counted (Traditional, Mystery/Puzzle, Wherigo, Letterbox and Multi caches)

3. You must sign the physical log inside the container to claim the smiley.

My Inspiration of course came from the ORIGINAL LGA challenge GC5DFFR which can be found HERE

How do I know if I have done that I hear you ask?

It is quite simple really, just head to the project GC website, using the below link and see how you have done. If you get a tick from the checker, you are all good to go and find, sign and log it.

PGC Checker

While some Geocachers may find this challenge very easy, others may find it very hard to achieve. For some it may require long periods of dedication and perseverance. I welcome placing notes on the cache page if you are taking up the challenge.

Please take this challenge in the fun spirit that it has been created with. This challenge has not been deliberately designed to exclude or discriminate against any Geocachers, but to create a sense of achievement when you reach certain goals.

Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.
