"The Coldest Chisel"
Welcome to The Coldest Chisel—a geocache that’s as rock-solid as its namesake! Inspired by the legendary Australian band Cold Chisel, this cache is a tribute to both our love of music and our loyal companion, Chisel—the latest in our family’s line of musically named dogs.
Meet Chisel, the Geo-Dog: Chisel is not just any dog—he’s the heart and soul of our geocaching adventures. Following in the pawprints of Wolfgang and Floyd (if only they would "get the band back together"), Chisel has reignited our passion for exploring new locations and finding geocaches. To date, he’s discovered 30 caches, and his list just keeps growing!
Why This Park is Special: This cache is hidden in the first park where Chisel ever got to run free, making it a place of special significance for us. From his vantage point high above, Chisel keeps a watchful eye on this cache with a "cheap wine" in hand when he isn't out geocaching or "shipping steel."
Cache Details: Hidden within this serene spot is a micro-cache with a logbook. For the first to find, there’s a trackable named "Chisel Geo-Dog" waiting inside. The goal of this trackable is to visit as many caches in Brisbane as possible—let’s see how far Chisel can travel!
Important: There is no access to the park from Curwen Terrace and access is best off Hamilton Road. Accessing the Park from Curwen Terrace will result in trespassing, leaving the rest of us "standing on the outside looking in."
It is also best not to try this cache after excessively heavy rain otherwise you might be swept away in to Bow River.
Happy hunting, and remember, Chisel is always nearby, cheering you on from his lookout escaping the "the fast suburban chains"
