Geocache Description:

About this series:

This series will take you on a journey across the Mason-Dixon Line at points throughout Pennsylvania and West Virginia. You’ll find three caches in PA and three caches in WV along the way. Each cache within this series will give you a single number, which combined together will help you find the location of a final bonus cache.

About the Mason-Dixon Line:

The Mason-Dixon Line, surveyed between 1763 and 1767 by Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon, was originally established to resolve a border dispute between the British colonies of Pennsylvania and Maryland. Over time, it became symbolic as the dividing line between the Northern free states and the Southern slave states in the U.S. Today, the Mason-Dixon Line remains a cultural and historical reference point, often representing the boundary between the North and the South in American consciousness.
