Goanikontes is an oasis and farm in Namibia. It is a river water oasis on the Swakop in the middle of the Namib, but also has open spring water (spring water oasis).
Vegetable cultivation was already practiced on the farm of the same name at the beginning of the 20th century. There was also a station for the Schutztruppe, which also planted the rubber trees and palm trees that can still be seen there today. Lieutenant Schwabe is said to have set up a military station here as early as 1893.
The very rare boltwoodite is found in well-formed crystals in the area. Goanikontes is not far from the Welwitschia Drive, which is also of tourist interest, and the lunar landscape. The historic farmhouse houses a restaurant that is part of an accommodation facility.

Goanikontes ist eine Oase und Farm in Namibia. Sie liegt als Flusswasseroase am Swakop inmitten der Namib, verfügt jedoch auch über offenes Quellwasser (Quellwasseroase).
Auf der gleichnamigen Farm wurde bereits Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts Gemüseanbau betrieben. Hier befand sich zudem eine Station der Schutztruppe, die auch die heute noch dort zu sehenden Gummibäume und Palmen anpflanzte. Bereits 1893 soll Leutnant Schwabe hier eine Militärstation errichtet haben.
In der Umgebung wird der sehr seltene Boltwoodit in gut ausgebildeten Kristallen gefunden. Goanikontes liegt unweit des touristisch ebenfalls interessanten Welwitschia-Drive und der Mondlandschaft. Das historische Farmhaus beherbergt ein Restaurant, das zu einem Unterkunftsbetrieb gehört.
