Time to celebrate the annual autumn geocaching CITO!
In order to celebrate the annual autumn geocaching CITO, I have scheduled a CITO event for a place that is easy to get to and will provide plenty of CITO opportunities. The event will officially start at the coordinates at 11:00 am. We will meet again at noon at the coordinates for pictures and talking. There is plenty of parking. Please park so that everyone can get out.
I plan on bringing bags, you can bring some, just in case. You may want to bring gloves.
This is the area along the Weber River trail. This is an approved camping location in West Haven. When I checked this spring there were only two of the eight camping spots in use, but not near where we will be picking up trash. Trash pickup will begin at Site #1, proceed down the river to Site #2 and Site #3. I will remain at the meeting location to direct others who come along for the event.
The parking lot itself it a 1 terrain, but where we will be picking up trash is a 1.5 to 2. For those who want a 1 terrain, there is the trail up river.
If there are campers near the areas of trash pickup then we will go up river so that we don't interfere with their camping.
