The Blount County Memorial Museum, opened in 1971, is dedicated to preserving and teaching history, in addition to honoring our military veterans. The museum is sponsored by the Blount County Historical Society with significant assistance from the Blount County Commission.
On May 6, 2024, the museum opened in its new location, the historic federal building built in 1938 in downtown Oneonta. On permanent display is an example of FDR’s New Deal Arts Program. Come visit and ask us about the mural.
Admission to the museum and tours are free!
