This Traditional Cache is located on the Corner of Court 4. It is a magnetic bolt with a logbook inside however a pen or pencil will be required. You may need tweazers to get the logbook out. Do be careful of muggles and nearby people playing at the tennis courts or in the car park so stealth is required!
Lindfield is situated North East of nearby town, Haywards Heath. Hayward Heath has a train station for easy transport and is on the London to Brighton line, which opened in 1841, and took 4 years to build. There are multiple bus routes from Haywards Heath Station and surrounding towns to get to this cache and other caches in Lindfield.
The name 'Lindfield' means 'open land with lime trees' which was what Lindfield once was in its early stages. All Saints Church, which overlooks the village, dates back to 1098. Next to the church is the oldest building in the village is Church House, now commonly known as 'The Tiger.' This cache is situated on the edge of Lindfield common, which has a long history of lifestock fairs and pleasure fairs. This tradition still remains of the annual funfair that comes to the common. The common is also home to Lindfield Cricket club, right next to the Tennis Courts, and has seen matches with New Zealand, Australia and Holland. The common has annual events hosted by Lindfield Bonfire Society (Bonfire Night), The Circus and Village Day.
