A series of caches are dotted along the NCN 768 (National Cycle Network). A mostly tarmac path, this route follows the old railway line which runs from the towns of Tullibody to Dollar via Menstrie, Alva and Tillicoultry, the 'Hillfoots'.
Along the way there are great views of the Carse of Forth, Stirling Castle and the Wallace monument and of course Dumyat itself which is well worth a wander up. Parking for Dumyat is available on the Sheriffmuir road.
When you get to Menstrie and travel east you will have a very close view of the rest of the lovely Ochil hills. You will undoubtedly also be subject to the 'aroma' of the Kerry Yeast production site which is situated on the same site as the Diagio spirit storage facility.
Before you return you could always stop of in Menstrie for a small refreshment.
Parking is at a small area at the entrance to the Dumyat Business Park. If no spaces are available parking is available on the road side within the Park.
