Geocache Description:

25 Challenges for 25 years of Geocaching!

This cache is NOT placed at the posted coordinates, GZ is listed as a visible waypoint.

To support Victoria's first ever Block Party, event mascot Muggle the Puggle has teamed up with geocachers across Victoria to place a range of caches for you all to find & enjoy. Whether you visit before, during, or after The Sunbury Event, we hope you enjoy your time in Sunbury & the surrounding areas of Hume.

This series of 25 Challenge Caches are all themed around the number 25 (some more loosely than others). Happy 25 years!

This challenge has not been deliberately designed to exclude or discriminate against any Geocachers, but to create a sense of achievement when you reach certain goals. Feel free to sign this cache at any time, but to claim the find you must qualify for the challenge. If you do not qualify, you may add a 'write note' log until such time that you do qualify. The challenge checker at the bottom of this page will tell you if you qualify. This challenge has been placed in compliance with the Challenge Cache Guidelines and the  Victorian Regional Policy.

Muggle the Puggle's Challenge #8 - 25(00) Favourites in 25 finds Challenge

Favourite points are typically awarded to some of the most interesting and fun caches hidden. Caches typically earn favourite points for having unique camoflauge, being hidden in interesting or unusual locations, creative cache containers, or challenging Mystery Caches. Favourite points can be a great way to let other geocachers know you enjoyed a cache. Favourite points weren't always a part of the game, being introduced as a Premium feature in December 2010. Premium members are given 1 favourite point for being a premium member, plus an additional favourite point per 10 finds.

Whilst total favourite points can be a good indicator of a good cache, it is biased towards caches that have been out for longer & have been found more times. Favourite points as a % of finds would be a good measure, but that can be influenced by the mix of premium/basic members who have found the cache. Want to know which caches are heavily favourited by the premium members who found them? This tool, with its long and complicated name, is the way to do it.

This challenge has been hidden in order to honor the introduction of favourite points. In order to qualify, you need to find a maximum of 25 caches that have earned a minimum total of 2,500 favourite points combined. Good Luck! Thats an average of 100FP per cache. As at 06/02/2025 there was 315 Active caches in Australia with 100+ FP's, the highest being GC3E Lane Cove (Australia's oldest cache) with 603 FP's!.

Optional: Mention in your log how many of the 25 finds you needed to reach 2500 Favourite Points. For me, just one.
