When I was gifted this event, I first thought that I could celebrate the 25th cacheversary of Geocaching's start. But then I noticed that this year would also mark my 20th cacheversary of being a geocacher. Torn between picking one or the other, I felt that celebrating the community would be more appropriate. With each of us celebrating our own personal milestones, whether they be a cacheversary of geocaching, or finally hitting that special number of geocaches found, why not have an event to celebrate everybody's special day!
This date was selected because it sits roughly halfway between the start of Geocaching on May 1st, and my start into this hobby, August 15th.
So come out to the Heartland Forest, which was the location of my first ever event, between 1pm and 3pm on Sunday June 15th, 2025, and help us all celebrate all of our milestones!
We will be having a potluck lunch, so please include what you intend to bring, although it is not necessary to attend this event. I will keep updating the list of items brought, so we don't end up having 20 people bringing plates.
A raffle will also be held, with some items donated by myself, and hopefully lots more!
