A 25th anniversary of Geocaching Community Celebration Event on the 20th anniversary of goldpot's first geocache find. All are invited to celebrate at the Regent's Park Bar & Kitchen, but storms made us meet up on the street!
Saturday, 4th October 2025, 10am to 12 noon
Celebrating the occasion at the cafe in Queen Mary's Garden at Regent's Park. The cafe serves a wide range of food and drinks throughout the duration of this event. No purchase necessary. A corner has been reserved inside although if it's a bright sunny day the event will take place in the cafe's garden.
However, Storm Amy swept through changing everything - park got shut, cafe unable to open, York Bridge Road closed, long walk via Chester Road dodging fall branches. What an event!
All started here on this day at Regent's Park in 2005 when I found my first geocache at my place of work. Since, I had much fun, travelled all over, met some great cachers and made many friends. Now spent a third of my life hunting down plastic containers with high technology devices!

05/05/2006 100th find, took 7 months. The days when 3 finds in a day was going some.
07/06/2007 100th consecutive day of caching, number 3 in the world to reach that milestone.
24/03/2008 1000th find, 2.5 years to achieve!
05/05/2008 First mega GC18DE6, Netherlands
21/10/2009 First London Event, GC1ZJJ1 Hosted every month since
30/06/2015 Discovered Project-GC. Second wind in Geocaching, I'm a sucker for stats
31/05/2017 Finaly completed the D/T grid
14/10/2017 10,000th find. GC7ATFF. Easy going now.
02/09/2018 Completed the Jasmer with Mingo, GC30. The world’s oldest active cache
04/01/2019 Completed my longest streak, 381 days. Hated doing it, but I needed the badge!
20/09/2024 Visited GCHQ at Seattle
25/01/2025 Attended a Block Party, all 20 types of caches now found
