Come Attend the Thirteenth Annual NorthStar GeoSeekin' Weekend!
Our event this year will be at Menahga City Campground in Menahga, Minnesota on Saturday, August 16th.
We will kick off our event at 9:00 AM with games and activities to be participate in, pictures to pose for, items to be bid on, and caches to find.
We will be frying hot dogs with chips and water for lunch from 12:00 to 2:00. We will have a free will donation, but we just want to let you try these out.
We will wrap it up at 4:30 PM with a prize giveaway.
CAMPING
We have reserved campsites at the campground. You will have to call the Menahga City Office to reserve your site. Their number is 218-564-4557 or email them at: menahgacampground@cityofmenahga.com

POKER RUN
We will bring back the poker run again this year. Five temporary caches will be placed with playing cards in them. You will pick a card from each cache location. Bring the sealed envelopes with your cards back to the campground, and during the prize ceremony at 4:00 PM, we will see who will win the wonderful prizes.
TRAVEL BUG RACE
To participate in the travel bug race, you must drop an activated travel bug with zero miles on it into the event. The travel bugs will be released from there, and start on it's race to accumulate miles. The race will conclude on August 15, 2026. The only rule is that you can't move your own travel bug, and any entries using challenges to accumulate miles will be disqualified.. A prize for the travel bug with the most miles, or some other random rule we come up with, will be given out at that years event.
KIDS GAMES
We will be hosting a kid (and adult) rock painting activity.
OTHER TIDBITS
There will be items displayed for you to get tickets in order to bid on.
Free will offerings will be accepted to fund next year's event.
If you want to attend but don't plan on camping, there is one small motel in Menahga, but 3 motels in Park Rapids.
There will be all kinds of other events and activities in conjunction with this three day weekend which will be announced at a later date.
The plan so far is to have a new 20 cache geo art, plus a few new traditional caches published closer to the event.
Typically, Groundspeak gives out a souvenir for caching on international geocaching day, which is the day this event will take place. Plus this is a Community Celebration Event, so you may get a souvenir for that if you haven't already.
