Yahoola Creek Park
Saturday Nov. 1
10am - Noon
Come spend your Saturday morning with a Geocaching Community Celebration in the beautiful Fall colors of North Georgia. The intention of this event is to combine a little bit of everything that makes geocaching so great.
We will start with a meet and greet at the posted coordinates where geo-stories can be shared (as well as any trackables).
We will then have a "cache" hunt where you can search for any of the caches all ready published in the park or some scavenger caches placed just for this event. The scavenger caches are not published nor will they be published on geocaching.com. However, what you find you can keep and hopefully make into geocaches of your own. Each willing participant will be given their own randomly selected set of coordinates at which they will find their scavenger cache claim ticket. Bring your ticket back to the pavilion by Noon to claim your corresponding scavenger cache container.
The final aspect of the celebration is a CITO. If you choose to participate in this aspect, trash bags will be provided to take with you while you are on your cache hunt.
This is your Celebration so you can participate in all aspects or just the ones you want. Snacks and water will be provided.
Please post a will attend so I can prepare enough scavenger caches for everyone.
