It's time for the 2025 Geocaching International Film Festival!
There are many things you'll find while geocaching, not just containers. Many times people who geocache find nature, friendship, a love for the outdoors, or simply find inner peace while they are out looking for their next find. Moments like these have been written, filmed, edited and chosen to be on the 2025 GIFF film reel to be shown around the world during the time of November 6-16, 2025!
You're invited to join the fun at the Winnebago Public Library on November 15th at 12:00 noon where the Community Room has been reserved for our event.
Below is a timeline of events for this GIFF gathering:

12:00 Noon - Community Room opens.

12:20pm - Quiet everybody! The movie is about to start!

1:30pm - Film reel will end. Attendees may be asked to fill out a survey at a later date to see which video(s) were everyone's favorite! A link to the survey will be provided when it is made available.
- 1:45pm - Group photo will be taken.

2:00pm - Event ends and the Community Room will close.

- There are 24 geocaches within 5 mile radius that have earned more than 10 favorite points each. These 24 geocaches have a total of 750+ favorite points combined!
- Find the Cache Odyssey cache for the state of Illinois, located just minutes outside of town! GCAYB0X
- Take a bite out of the world's largest geoart! Parts of the 4,200 cache Penny Farthing geoart run through Winnebago and the surrounding area.
- In 2023, GIFF had more than 14,000 attendees from 549 events that were held in 46 different countries around the world!
The library is wheelchair accessible throughout and this event is free to attend. Follow the coordinates to the event location, or navigate to 210 N. Elida Street to get there. Men's and Women's restrooms are located inside the Community Room where the event is being held. Popcorn will be provided for your movie watching enjoyment!
