Come and join us for a midsummer picnic on the Rype in Lydd on the longest day of the year.
Bring your camping chair and a picnic basket full of sandwiches and maybe some home made cake.
Then we can all sit out on the green together and have a jolly good natter.
There is plenty of open grass for games nearby too, so bring a ball too if you like!
UPDATE:
It turns out that June 21st is also the date of this year’s Lydd Club Day. That’s not a problem, but it does mean that we will likely have some company on the Rype… but I see that as a positive! It means the funfair will be in town with attractions such as bumper cars, waltzers and hook a duck along with the usual food stalls selling hotdogs, chips, ice cream and the like. It also sounds like they are putting on a craft fair at the church… so plenty to enjoy after our CCE event for those that want to stay a while longer.
The geocache picnic will go ahead as planned, but keep an eye out for announcements on the day in case we need to move location slightly.
Dogs are welcome.
There is usually roadside parking in and around the green.
