Geocache Description:


Reverse Wherigo- Triangulation ◀️🔻

The cache is NOT at the posted coords.

This is a different type of play anywhere Reverse Wherigo that relies on at least two bearings to triangulate the actual coords. The following three sections tell you how to download the cartridge, the directions for playing the cartridge, and how to solve the puzzle.

I. Download cartridge

   A. Compatible device
       You can download the day1976's Open Source Reverse Wherigo cartridge by day1976 directly to             your device HERE
   B. iPhone
       You can download the Wherigo App to your iPhone from your app store.
   C. Android
       You can download the WhereYouGo App OR the GeoohGo App to your Android phone from
        Google Play.

II. Directions- NOTE- these directions are for the iPhone. Android directions are somewhat different. See Section III.

   1. Open the Wherigo app
   2. Tap search and enter GC9C4V2
   3. Find the "A Bunch of Five (Now Four)" Wherigo cache listing
   4. Tap the name and then Download Cartridge
   5. Under downloaded Cartridges, you will find "day1976's Open Source Reverse Wherigo"
   6. Tap to open; tap Play then Continue
   7. Move selection to "Find a Geocache"; tap done
   8. Enter the first code- 687PN; Tap done then enter the second code- Z9NNO; Tap done
   9. See message: The bearing to this geocache is xxx degrees
   10. Be sure to write down the coords & bearing for exactly where you are when you enter the codes
   11. Now move to another location (the further away, the better) and write down the new coords &           bearing for that location- NOTE: cannot get coords from cartridge
   12. At the bottom of the screen, tap "give me a new bearing"; see same message & record result
   13. You should now have two sets of coords, each with a true North bearing to the actual geocache
   14. Go to https://www.cachesleuth.com/triangulate.html and enter the data. This will give you the          actual cache coords

III. For android phone users, you will need to download the WhereYouGo app if you haven't already.

   1. Once you've downloaded the app, go to settings, click login credentials and sign in using your        geocaching account information.
   2. To get the cartridge to download directly from that app to your phone, you need to go to your        phone settings, open apps, click on the WhereYouGo app, click set as default, click supported web        addresses and then turn on both the wherigo.com links. You only need to set this up once, but if        an app update stops it from doing so, just re-do the steps above.
   3. This will allow it to download straight to the phone rather than manually downloading the        cartridge to your phone, going into my files, selecting the cartridge download and then manually        moving it to the WhereYouGo folder.
