This geocache is placed in Wizard Ranch Nature Preserve with the explicit permission of the Lancaster Conservancy. The Conservancy must be asked for each geocache placed in their preserves.
Wizard Ranch is one of the newer Lancaster Conservancy preserves. Like most of the preserves, it is open only dawn to dusk. You can find more information and a trail map at Wizard Ranch Nature Preserve. That page also describes the history of the preserve and what you may find here.
Search with your eyes for this pill bottle placed along the orange trail at the far southern extent of that trail. You can start the trail from parking heading pretty much straight with a duck into the woods about 150 feet from groundzero. Search with your eyes at the handy place to wait for your friends who have taken a little longer hiking. After you find it and sign the log paper, place the container back as found so that others can search with their eyes. Don't make it harder or cover it "better". I did not encounter bees or snakes placing this container, but in late summer, they are always a concern.
If you are hiking faster than your companions, good hiking etiquette suggests stopping to wait for them to catch up. You wait. And when they do catch up, you give them an opportunity to rest before taking off again. People hike for different reasons and enjoy the outdoors in different ways.
This spot is a place where you can be the Wizard-in-Waiting or maybe Waiting-in-Wizard.
