Dette er en av flere WHERIGO REVERSE geocacher som inngår i GEOARTEN LOFOTEN (LOWR).
Geoarten LOFOTEN utgjør hele D/T matrisa, altså 81 cacher og er lagt ut av Hilsju, Hegenor og Team Trolh.
Ingen av cachene ligger på oppgitte koordinater, så her må du løse oppgaven til hver enkelt cache for å få lurt fram de rette koordinatene, og oppgavene i hver vanskelighetsgrad er nokså like. Alle cachene skal være mulig å løse hjemmefra, slik at dere som bor langveisfra kan legge ferien til vakre Lofoten.
De aller fleste cachene ligger langs hovedveien, mens noen er det ca 200m å gå, men vi anbefaler gode sko til det svært varierende terrenget. Ekstrautstyr av ymse slag kan også være nyttig til de cachene som har høyest T-rating, altså T4,T4,5 og T5 , altså stige og geoextraktor, og det kan også være greit å ha med matpakke og drikke med seg, og det er få eller ingen muligheter for toalett i området.
Penn kan også være lurt å ta med seg, da ingen av cachene har skrivesaker,og man ønsker et smilefjes på kartet.
Fotologger godtas i utgangspunktet ikke, og det er fint om bilder i loggene ikke gir tips om hvor selve cachen er plassert.
Denne Wherigo'en er en virtuell versjon av "Reverse Cache Box". Den vil fortelle deg avstanden til cachen, men ikke retningen. Du kan starte søket fra hvilket som helst sted i verden. Din oppgave er å finne cachen ved å spørre din Reverse Cache box om avstanden til den endelige plasseringen. Prøv å bruke Reverse Cache Box så få ganger som mulig. Alle nødvendige instruksjoner finnes i spillet, som er flerspråklig.

Kor ska vi reis? Lofoten Edition, dag 2
Neste dag tar vi bilen og drar på tur med oss et par “søringer” som er på besøk, og som er helt overgitt over alle pengene som er brukt på veien til målet vårt. Vi forklarer at rasoverbyggene er helt nødvendige og at veien om vinteren her til stadighet var stengt i dagevis av ras, og med all eksporten av fisk som foregår vinterstid og alle turistene som besøker øyriket året rundt er det viktig at dette er på plass, ikke minst for de som akutt trenger blålys-hjelp også.
Vi snirkler oss til veiens ende hvor det er full stopp, etter å ha passert krykjeberg, stupbratte fjell, rorbuer i flere farger, samt populære fotostopp.
Skiltet her blir stadig vekk stjålet, og er til og med observert i Italia på en balkong....
Her blir det pause med kanelboller i gammelt miljø, her er det mye interessant å se, for den som vil lære mer om Lofoten før i tiden.

Vi parkerer bilen på anvist plass og starter turen oppover mot trappene som skal føre oss til toppen. På veien får vi et smil fra vaktene nederst i trappa, mens de tar en samtale med turister i flip-flops og med rullekoffert, om kanskje å droppe turen i dag.
Vi strever oss opp de nesten 2000 trinnene opp mot den berømte toppen, og blir belønnet med en fantastisk utsikt innover fjordene, over tettstedene og veiene.
Vi skjønner at det er et “must” for reisende å komme hit opp.

Etter fjellturen må vi bare ha en softis på den lokale kiosken – verdens beste, sier mange.
Vi setter oss i bilen og kjører videre , gjennom smale passasjer og tar en stopp på stedet med de gule rorbuene. Her er det både museum, brukthandel og to restauranter, der den ene har blitt kåret til å ha “Norges beste veimat” i 2019.
Vi tar de obligatoriske bildene av den gule bua mot det spisse fjellet i bakgrunnen og handler litt lokalmat i nærheten.

På turen “austover” vil de besøkende også innom den lokale smeden, og i Smia treffer de både far og sønn, som smir skarver så gnistfokket står, og andre figurer selvfølgelig, med et lunt smil og en god historie på kjøpet. Besøket beundrer ei flott ørn, og noe av kunsten som er plassert ute, mens motorene fra museet dunker traust i bakgrunnen.
Det er ikke så mye annet å ta seg til her, men det er sjarmerende med fisk på hjell og båter som ligger både til lands og til vanns.

This is one of several WHERIGO REVERSE geocaches that are part of the GEOART "LOFOTEN" (LOWR).
Geoart LOFOTEN makes up the entire D/T matrix, 81 caches and has been placed by geocachers Hilsju, Hegenor and Team Trolh.
None of the caches are located at given coordinates, so you have to solve the task for each individual cache to get the correct coordinates, and the tasks in each degree of difficulty are fairly similar. All the caches should be able to be solved from home, so that those of you who live from far away can spend your holiday in beautiful Lofoten making smileys.
The vast majority of caches are located along the main road, while some need a walk for up to 200m , but we recommend good shoes for the highly variable terrain. Additional equipment of various kinds can also be useful for the caches with the highest T-rating, i.e. T4, T4,5 and T5, like a ladder and geoextractor.
It might also be a good idea to take a pen with you, as none of the caches have stationery, and you want a smiley face on the map.
Photo logs are basically not accepted, and it is nice if pictures in the logs do not give hints about where the cache itself is located.
This Wherigo is a virtual version of the "Reverse Cache Box". It will tell you the distance to the cache, but not the direction. You can start your search from anywhere in the world. Your task is to find the cache by asking your Reverse Cache box for the distance to the final location. Try to use the Reverse Cache Box as few times as possible. All necessary instructions can be found in the game, which is multilingual.

Where are we going? Lofoten Edition, day 2
The next day we take the car and go on a trip with a couple of "southern people" who are visiting, and who are totally overwhelmed by all the money that has been spent on the way to our destination. We explain that the landslide constructions are absolutely necessary and that the road here in winter was constantly closed for days by landslides, and with all the export of fish that takes place in winter and all the tourists who visit the island kingdom all year round, it is important that this is in place, not least for those who urgently need help as well.
We wind our way to the end of the road where there is a full stop, after passing Kittiwake-rocks, precipitous mountains, fishermen-cabins in several colours, as well as popular photo stops.
The sign here is constantly being stolen, and has even been observed in Italy on a balcony...
Here there will be a break with cinnamon buns in an old environment, here there is a lot of interesting things to see, for those who want to learn more about Lofoten in the past.

After the cinnamon bun, it's time for some exercise. We park the car in the designated place and start the trip up towards the stairs that will lead us to the top. On the way, we get a smile from the guards at the bottom of the stairs, while they have a conversation with tourists in flip-flops and with rolling suitcases, about perhaps abandoning the trip today.
We struggle up the nearly 2,000 steps to the famous peak, and are rewarded with a fantastic view into the fjords, over the towns and roads.
We understand that it is a "must" for travelers to come up here.

After the mountain tour, we just have to have a soft ice cream at the local kiosk - the best in the world, many say.
We get in the car and drive on, through narrow passages and stop at the place with the yellow fishermen-cabins. Here there is both a museum, a second-hand shop and two restaurants, one of which has been named "Norway's best road food" in 2019.
We take the obligatory pictures of the yellow fisherman-cabin against the pointed mountain in the background and buy some local food nearby.

On the trip "to the east", the visitors will also visit the local blacksmith, where they will meet both father and son, who forge cormorants and other figures, with a warm smile and a good story in return. The visitor admires a beautiful eagle, and some of the art that is placed outside, while the engines from the museum thump confidently in the background.
There is not much else to do here, but it is charming with fish on the stocks and boats that are both on land and in the water.
