To locate the Final stage of the cache, you will first need to observe signage while standing at the given coordinates. The signage - three digits above the door – will be used for your North and West offset calculations. The offset calculations will refer to the Digits #1- #3 and will be notated D#1, D#2, and D#3.
NORTH OFFSET:
Consider D#1 and D#2 together as a two digit number.
This is your North Offset.
NORTH FINAL: ADD the North Offset to the decimal minutes (.xxx) of the North Given coordinates to obtain your North Final Coordinates.
WEST OFFSET:
North Offset times D#3 = West Offset
Or to put it another way:
North Offset X D#3 = West Offset
This is your West Offset.
WEST FINAL: SUBTRACT the West Offset from the decimal minutes (.xxx) of the West Given coordinates to obtain your West Final Coordinates.
