Portrane is such a lovely village to visit and to live it. It has the beach, the cliff walk and lots of spots to relax and to enjoy a lovely walk. I would very much like to help keeping it well maintained so that it's an even better place for everyone - it doesn't matter if you're a cacher or not. That is why I would like to ask the cacher community to help and join me for some litter-picking. Are you up for it?
Where? - At the Portrane Green - see given coordinates
When? - Saturday, 12th October 2024 - 11.00 to 12.00
Why? - To help the Portrane community get the village a bit more litter-free
We'll be doing our good deed around the "centre" of Portrane where there is a good bit of trash to collect. Bags will be provided by myself but please bring the following with you:
- Litter picker, gloves and maybe high-vis vests
- Good footwear as it might be a bit muddy
- Raingear if the weather requires it
There are great rewards for you if you join the fun:
- Homemade cake provided by myself - others are welcome to bring some snacks too (not a requirement though)
- The souvenir for CITO Season 2 in 2024
- Make the world a better place for our beloved hobby and for the muggle walkers enjoying their day out in Portrane
So there are plenty of reasons to attend. I'm looking forward to it!
