This cache is in the Assiniboine Park Zoo and there will be an entrance fee to get in. Placing trackables is not recommended in this high muggle area. This is a Letterbox Cache, and as such, there is a stamp and stamp pad inside for those who wish to stamp their journal or a piece of paper. This stamp and pad must REMAIN inside the cache at ALL times! There is room for swag and trackables, however trackables are not recommended because of the high muggle presence in the area. Take your time and have fun! Use the combination 21-06-19 to get inside. Step 1: Turn the dial 3 times to the right (clockwise) stopping on the 1st number.
Step 2: Turn left (counter clockwise) 1 full turn passing the 1st number and stopping at the 2nd number.
Step 3: Turn the dial to the right (clockwise) stopping on the 3rd number.
Step 4: Pull down to open the lock.
While in the area, check out the Elk and Bison! These two impressive priarie species were key to the priarie ecosystem before settlement and farming changed the landscape of the Red River Valley. These two species remind us of the past, and call us to conservation now.
To keep wild priairie wild, and make the most of our famrland - cut down on food waste! Try to make portions you will eat, share extra if you have, and compost food you can't eat to make good, new soil. It's a small thing, but will help keep patches of prairie preserved in perpitutiy!
