Welcome to Newcastle-On-Clun & our first hide! We couldn't believe there were no caches in our village when we started our caching adventure this summer, especially when we have so many walkers on Offa's Dyke. So, we have decided to give back to the community & hide some for you!
Here is the Grade II listed lych gate at St John the Evangelist, which dates from 1880. We thought people would enjoy this unusual gate which marks the transition from secular to sacred ground.
Our traditional cache is large enough for trackables & toys. At the time of hiding there was a large log (notebook) & pencil inside.
Parking in the road right next to the Church - suitable for walkers & a cache & dash. Beware of farm vehicles.
