The City of Coquitlam has a Bad Seed program to weed out invasive species. They have invited us back to continue where we left off earlier this year. Time to show them some love! We will once again be working along the Hoy Creek Linear Park section that runs from the Barnet Highway to Glen Drive. This is transit friendly with a bus running from Coquitlam Central Station.
We will be working with the Coquitlam Parks urban forestry staff who will provide tools and gloves but feel free to bring your own. We will provide light snacks plus water - please bring your own water bottle. Dress appropriately to the activity including good footwear.
The trail north of the work area has now reopened so best parking is on Woodbine Place or Hialeah Ct. Additional parking is available on either Lansdowne St or Runnel Dr. The City of Coquitlam has advised that parking at Creekside Mall is restricted to mall patrons only. The work area is in red with the green arrow pointing to it. Look for the pop up shelter. The trail entrance off Woodbine is marked as a waypoint.
