山辺の道とは、奈良盆地の東の山裾を縫うように、三輪山の麓から石上布留を通り、奈良へと通じ、「日本書紀」にもその名が残る古代の道です。
山の辺の道沿いには、今も多くの神社仏閣、古墳や名所、旧跡が存在し、訪れる人を「古代歴史の世界」へと誘います。
白山神社は、天理市園原町にある神社です。
山辺の道沿いに鎮座しています。
創建、由緒等に関しては不明のようです。
他の白山神社と同じ、菊理姫神（ククリヒメノカミ）や伊邪那岐命（イザナギノミコト）等が祀られ、五穀豊穣や、延命長寿が祈願されていたと思われます。
