

Geocaching NSW would like to extend an invitation to everyone to join us for our annual Christmas event on Saturday the 7th December at Maple Grove Park in Katoomba.
Come along and join us for an afternoon of fun and celebration, a chance to share adventures from the past year and plan for the next year.
Maple Grove Park is a beautiful park with abundant wildlife, including kangaroos and birds, and picturesque surroundings with a lovely stream running through the middle. The park offers a family friendly environment and is perfect for picnics, with plenty of shady spots to sit under the trees, It also features a covered BBQ area, toilet amenities, and picnic tables. The park is flat, making it suitable for individuals with mobility impairements. The sound of the nearby waterfall adds to the tranquil atmosphere, and there is ample parking available.
Bring along hats, sunscreen and drinking water, feel free to bring along a plate of something festive to share as well, dogs are allowed on a leash.
New geocachers are most welcome to attend as it's a great way to meet the geocaching community and pick up tips on all aspects of the game. Don't forget you can swap travelbugs and Geocoins at the event . The association will also have a number of geocaching related items for sale including the 2024 geocoin.
