This Cache is located on Spencer Trail , the route use in the Greenwood Furance Trail Challenge .This is a 13.1(half Marathon) runners have a intense ,rugged,steep with rocky climbs and nasty down hills . where the trail crosses the mountian road there is volunteer Ham radio operators to report issues and other volunteers at check points and food /hydration points,
About this Cache , it is a short walk or ride off Broad Mt Road , There is no need to go near any cabins , you will come to a state forestry gate (Probably closed) There is a path around the gate for hikers , snowmoblers etc , go around the gate very short distance there you are , if you cant see the gate from the cache you went to far. This cache is located on State Forestry land with permission and followimg all rules and regulations
