Welcome to Kew Gardens! This square behind the movie theater is the location for a lot of community activities, and features a mural of one of the KG Greats, Rodney Dangerfield. He grew up here, and as an adult lived in an apartment above Austin Street Ale House across the street. Check out some of the other artwork provided by the theater, which has an interesting history of its own--built in 1935, it slid into decline in the 70s, showing porn flicks. In 1999 it reopened as an arthouse theater, and today it shows a nice mix of indie flicks and blockbuster movies.
