I try to earn all the geo-souvenirs. This next one - World Postcard Day - requires attendance at an event. So I'm hosting one in Vancouver!
Where: Grays Park - covered picnic shelter. Park is on E 33 Ave at St Catherines (two blocks east of Fraser)
When: Wednesday October 2, 6:30 - 7:15pm
Gray's Park has a covered picnic area that I hope will be free. If not, we will find an obvious space to connect at the park. Gray's Park also has public washrooms, free street parking and a good playground and nice basketball nets if you wish to bring any younger cachers with you.
World Postcard Day began in 2019 to mark the 150th anniversary of the postcard. Every year, postcard enthusiasts meet up to celebrate the occasion, even making special postcards and stamps.
There will be no art nor crafts at this event. But you will earn the souvenir, meet other cachers, have a chance to admire and swap tb's and grab the traditional cache in this park if you have not already found it.
We acknowledge that we live, work and geocache on the traditional unceded, occupied homelands of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
