Today marks the tenth anniversary of Hezekiah's passing. Given how involved he was with geocaching, from organising the Easter Extravaganza events to running the first incarnation of the online shop, and how he's responsible for getting me into caching myself, I've marked each anniversary by finding some geocaches. This year, I wanted to do something different and hide a cache instead. The idea of hiding a cache slowly morphed into organising an event, so why not do both?
For the event, there will time for lots of geochat and meeting people, hopefully new as well as familiar. There will also be the obligatory FTF draw at 11.00, which will bring the event part of the day to a close.
After the event, there will be an easy enough walk around the Woods, (optional of course), for any one who wants to join in. During the walk, there will be an opportunity to find a cache set in memory of Dad, (Hezekiah). For those planning to go on the walk, please bear in mind what time of year it is, and what kind of weather we normally get and dress accordingly. (No shorts or flip flops. 😉)
Please note that the event organiser, geocaching.com and Coillte can not take any responsibility for loss of property or injury that happens during this event or walk.
